Financial inclusion has been the target over the last decade around the globe. There has been significant progress but more can be done. In 2018, the number of banked people increased by 64% since 2014. However, the rate of global inclusion only rose by 51%. Despite these strides in global inclusion over one billion people still, remain outside of traditional financial systems. Half of them live in Asia and Africa.
