Bio
I am currently working as the Managing Director of Grameen Shakti, looking after the overall activities from policy and operational level to local and international liaison and coordination.  Grameen Shakti is one of the most successful organizations dedicated to create “Access to Energy”, installing more than 1.7 Million Solar Home System, 1 million Improved Cook Stove and 35,000 Bio-gas plant, operating as per the norm of Social Business, emphasizing on Environmental protection, Financial Inclusion and Women Empowerment. I have been working in the field of Renewable Energy for over a decade. I also have the experience of working at the field of Carbon Emission Management. 

In recent years, I have been intricately involved with SDG implementation, winner of the project “Powering the future we want” of UN DESA in 2017. I also participating in different local and global forums/workshop/seminar as a panel speaker for sometimes, that includes sessions organized by Asian Development Bank, World Bank and United Nations.   

In 2018 I participated in “Global SDG7 Conference: Implementation of SDG7 and its inter-linkages with other SDGs: Lessons Learnt from UN DESA Energy Grant Finalist” held in Escape Hall, Bangkok organized by UN DESA to share insights on solar peer-to-peer energy trading solution and its impact on other SDGs. I also shared my experience in “Roundtable on SDG 7 on Affordable and Clean Energy” organized by UN ESCAP, UN Environment, UNDP and ADB during Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development in 2018. I was the panelist in “SDG & Renewable Energy” session during “Global Social Business Summit”  in Germany 2018. In that session I showcased the impact of different renewable energy solution like solar home system, improved cookstove, biogas and their impacts on different SDGs. As the panelist in “Climate Change & SDGs Synergy Conference” in  Copenhagen, 2019, organized by UN DESA  and UNFCCC, I shared my views on tackling the challenges of climate change through renewable energy solutions. Recently in the COP25 I was one of the speaker at a side event titled “ Local Climate Solutions with Poverty Reduction in NDCs: Experiences from South Asia” where our experience and learning with “Eco-village development” concept was presented.
