David Brown

CEO, Techstars


David is a serial entrepreneur who has founded three startups and been involved with two others. He is one of the original founders of Pinpoint Technologies, Inc. which is now part of ZOLL Medical Corporation and provides solutions to the emergency medical services market. He was President of the company from founding through over $50M per year in revenue and over 250 people.

David later co-founded Techstars along with David Cohen, Brad Feld, and Jared Polis. He has been an investor and advisor to Techstars since inception. In 2013, he joined Techstars in a more active role, overseeing global operations.

David has a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. As a ski instructor in the past, David still enjoys hitting the slopes on a good powder day.

Kamran Elahian

Underlying his vision for global philanthropy is the conviction that modern Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) can be instrumental in dissolving barriers between nations and bridging the social and political differences among people. This vision was reflected in Schools-Online, a nonprofit he co-founded in 1996 to connect the world, one school at a time (6400 schools in 36 countries were provided with computers and access to the Internet) and merged with Relief International in 2003; Global Catalyst Foundation, co-founded in 2000 to improve lives through the effective application of ICT, and UN-GAID, a United Nations global forum that promotes ICT in developing countries where he served as Co-Chairman (2009-2011).

Joseph Lubin

Founder, Ethereum


Joseph Lubin is a co-founder of blockchain computing platform Ethereum and the founder of Consensus Systems, a blockchain venture studio.

ConsenSys is one of the largest and fastest-growing companies in the blockchain technology space, building developer tools, decentralized applications, and solutions for enterprises and governments that harness the power of Ethereum. Headquartered in New York, ConsenSys also has a global presence, employing top entrepreneurs, computer scientists, software developers, and experts in enterprise delivery worldwide.

Lubin graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He worked in the Princeton Robotics Lab, at Tomandandy music developing an autonomous music composition tool, and at private research firm Vision Applications Inc. building autonomous mobile robots.
As a software engineer and consultant, Lubin worked with eMagine on the Identrus project and was involved in the founding and operation of a hedge fund with a partner. He held positions as Director of the New York office of Blacksmith Software Consulting, and VP of Technology in Private Wealth Management at Goldman Sachs. Through these posts, Lubin focused on the intersection of cryptography, engineering, and finance.
Switching gears, Lubin moved to Kingston, Jamaica to work on projects in the music industry. Two years into his musical endeavors, Lubin co-founded the Ethereum Project and has been working on Ethereum and ConsenSys since January, 2014.

Grace Yun Xia

Principal, Jungle Ventures


Grace’s has over a decade of experience in investment, corporate strategy and business development across early-stage startups and Fortune 500 companies in both Silicon Valley and emerging markets in Asia. At Jungle Ventures she focuses on identifying innovative startups in Asia and cross-border investment opportunities.

Prior to joining Jungle Ventures, she was Senior Director of Corporate Strategy and Investment at Tencent. In this role, she focused on identifying strategic opportunities in emerging markets, building Tencent’s overseas product ecosystem through investments and collaborations with local partners; and overseeing the implementation of deals and capital deployment.

A Kauffman Fellow, Grace started her career as a management consultant where she advised clients in financial sectors. Grace has an MBA in strategy and decision science from Fuqua School of Business, Duke University.

Neal Cross



Neal Cross is Managing Director and Chief Innovation Officer of DBS Bank and a strong advocate for innovative thinking and culture.

Cross is driving the bank’s innovation agenda regionally, as DBS moves to shape the future of banking, to enhance customer experience and better engage customers in the digital landscape. Cross has more than 20 years’ experience in technology, innovation, and financial services.

Working with internal stakeholders and external collaborators, he charts the innovation roadmap for DBS to enhance customer experience and better engages the bank’s customers in the digital landscape. On the back of our recent “World’s Best Digital Bank” accolade, Neal won the “Most Disruptive” CIO global award by impressing judges Steve Wozniak and Sir Richard Branson at the finals of the Talent Unleashed Awards 2016.

Previous to DBS, Cross was at MasterCard, where he was responsible for driving innovation as Vice President of MasterCard Labs in the company’s Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa regions.  Cross started working in the Asia time zone at Microsoft in Australia and later in Singapore as the financial services industry director.

On his weekends Neal lives in the Sumatran jungle where he has founded Hotel Orangutan, a social enterprise to help save the critically endangered Sumatran Orangutan and to give local villagers employment and education.

Maneerut Anulomsombut

CEO, SEA (Garena)


Nok Maneerut Anulomsombut joined our company in March 2014 and has served as our chief executive officer of Thailand since March 2016. Nok previously served as our chief operating officer of Thailand. Prior to joining our company, Nok was a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group in Bangkok from March 2009 to February 2014.

Prior to joining The Boston Consulting Group, Nok worked at financial and fashion companies in Thailand. Nok holds an M.B.A. degree from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.

Pieter Kemps

Principal, Sequoia Capital


Pieter Kemps serves as an Investment Advisor at Sequoia Capital India. He is the Principal at Sequoia Capital. He was a Vice President at the firm in 2014 and focuses on investments in internet, mobile, software, and infrastructure across South East Asia. Melissa is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Arbor Ventures with more than 20 years of experience in venture capital and as an entrepreneur in Asia and Silicon Valley.  As a thought leader in the global technology community, Melissa has been recognized as Melissa has been recognized as one of the Top 200 FinTech Influencers in Asia 2018 and one of the Most Influential Women in Tech in Asia. Melissa brings with her a unique set of global experience and perspective, with deep technological and innovation prowess anchored in an extensive international network.

Melissa serves on the Board of Directors of the HKVCA and is Co-Chair of the HKVCA Venture Committee. She also serves on the Board of Innovation for the Hong Kong Securities and Commodities Commission. She is a Hopkins Fellow and participated in the Women’s Leadership Program at Harvard University.

Prior to the founding of Arbor Ventures, Melissa was Managing Director and Head of VantagePoint Asia, a $4.5 billion venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley with offices in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong.

Melissa attended Wellesley College and received a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Florida. She is the author of the paper “Venture Capital Returns and Public Market Performance.” She has been a panelist on the Financial Times Top 50 Women in Asia and a guest lecturer on the Venture Capital Industry at the University of Florida, Hong Kong University, Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.


Anix Lynch

Anix was a Vice President of MQDC, Chearavanont Family Office, where she focused on investment in AgriFood Tech, Real Estate Tech and impact investment. In 2014, she originated the concept of True Digital Park (Launched 2018) and the early draft of the innovative policy for Thai government (Launched 2015)

Peng T Ong

Founder, Monk's Hill Ventures


Peng is an entrepreneur who invests in entrepreneurs. He does so primarily through his role as Managing Partner at Monk&’s Hill Ventures — a technology venture fund based in Southeast Asia that he co-founded.
Peng was the co-founder and CTO of (acquired by IAC). After, he was the founder and CEO of Interwoven, which went public on NASDAQ and grew to a $10B market cap, before being acquired and is now part of HP.

After Interwoven, Peng founded Encentuate (acquired by IBM). Most recently, Peng was a Partner at GSR Ventures, a leading VC in China. Peng has also served on many boards, including SingTel and He is currently the Chairman of SolveEducation!. Peng earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois.

Akiko Naka

Akiko Naka is the founder and chief executive officer of Wantedly, a social-networking service for professionals. Following its official launch in February 2012, Wantedly grew to 2m monthly active users and 25,000 corporates and has become the leading professional social-networking service in Japan. Prior to founding Wantedly, Ms. Naka was a growth co-ordinator at Facebook Japan, where she contributed to marketing and product development for Facebook in Japan. Michael Lints

Partner , Golden Gate Ventures


Michael Lints graduated from The Hague University of Applied Science in Management and Information Science and worked briefly as a project manager in NN Group, Netherlands largest insurance, and asset management company. His entrepreneurial spirit kicked in right after and he went on to start his own IT business specializing in Microsoft environments and IT project management.

He was the former vice chairman of the Economic Development Board Rotterdam which helped him built an extensive international network. In 2007, Michael founded his own venture fund focused on Dutch’s small and medium-sized enterprise to help them with capital financing, development and relevant support and strategy.

Through his earlier Venture in the Netherlands, Michael got acquainted with Golden Gate Ventures and moved his family to Singapore to join Golden Gate Ventures, as Venture Partner in 2013 to help with fundraising, strategic partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions. Michael has helped raised over $60M USD for Golden Gate Ventures and its portfolio companies and is now a Partner at Golden Gate Ventures since 2017.

Michael graduated from Financial Analysis for Business Valuation, and Private Equity and Venture Capital Executive course in Harvard Business School in Cambridge in 2011. He is a true believer in a work-life balance lifestyle and has completed marathons, cycling and Ironman races all over the world in his spare time and was recently appointed the Singapore ambassador for the top cycling brand distributor, Treknology3


Mike Peng

Co-Founder & Co-Managing Director, IDEO Tokyo


Mike Peng is a Partner at IDEO and the co-managing director and co-founder of IDEO Tokyo. In his role, Mike works with colleagues to set the strategic direction of the business in Japan, mentor designers, create new offerings, and lead client relationships and projects in Asia. Prior to Tokyo, Mike helped start-up IDEO’s New York office and lead its design research discipline. Mike has taught at New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID). He’s also a visiting lecture the at University of Tokyo, Keio University, and Kyushu University. Mike graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in cognitive science and an emphasis in neuroscience.

Nichapat Ark

Nichapat Ark is an advisor to Openspace Ventures (previously NSI Ventures), an angel investor, a startup mentor and Seedstars World Bangkok Ambassador. She has more than 20 years of experience in financial markets in Thailand. Her most recent post before she left her banking career was Executive Committee and Managing Director, Financial Markets for Standard Chartered Bank Thailand where she took part in driving the bank’s strategic planning and execution functions. Additionally, she was responsible for financial markets sales & trading, capital markets as well as asset & liability management for the bank. During her 10 years with Standard Chartered Bank, she spent 2 years in China as Managing Director of Financial Markets Sales based in Shanghai. 

Nichapat obtained her Master of Business Administration degree, majoring in Finance from Sasin Graduate School of Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand, and spent a term on exchange at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She received a Bachelor of Business Administration at Assumption University, Thailand.

Tiwa York is the Head Coach of Kaidee (a.k.a CEO). He is passionate about changing lives through trading second-hand goods, startups, and building great teams. Along with a team of 5 awesome people, Tiwa founded an online marketplace which is now known as Kaidee in 2011.

Today, Kaidee is a C2C online marketplace with 200 thousand monthly sellers, listing 1.8 million items for sale and reaching 7 million people per month. In 2016, 2 million items were sold via Kaidee valued at over 2.4 billion USD. Tiwa has been recognized for his passion, his leadership, and his efforts to build the team and culture at Kaidee. Khailee Ng

Cao Yin

CSO, Energy Blockchain Labs


Mr. Cao Yin is the Founding Partner and Chief Strategy Officer of the Energy Blockchain Labs, the world first company focused on blockchain technology energy and green finance application.He also is the Chief Expert of Blockchain of China Cinda Security, which is the IBD of China Cinda, the biggest finance asset mgt. the company in China.

Mr. Cao Yin is one of the earliest proponents of the energy Internet concept in China. He participated in the formulation of China’s national definition of Energy Internet and participated in the formulation and popularization of China’s National Energy Internet Action Plan as one of the leaders of the task force. Cao is China’s 9th E-resident member of E-Estonia project, he assists the Estonian Government to design and promote the Digital Nation action plan and the Estcoin plan. Cao is the Guest Lecturer of Beijing National Accounting Institute and Guest Speaker of Shanghai National Accounting Institute.

Cao is the key member of the Hyperledger China Working Group.
Mr. Cao is a well-known keynote speaker at multiple domestic and international energy, climate change, blockchain and cryptocurrency conferences. His point of views has been often published in leading industry and business media, covering topics related to the future energy system, carbon market, green finance, blockchain and cryptos insights, etc.

Gregory Perez

Design Director, IDEO Tokyo


Greg is a Design Director at IDEO Tokyo specializing in brand strategy, digital experience and communications design. His work at IDEO has included accelerating startups in Tokyo, building internal innovation capabilities for Australian corporations, and rethinking governmental service design in Singapore.

His craft is the ability to translate human experiences and insights into business impact through vivid stories which connect products and services to people’s lives. Prior to IDEO, Greg was a product designer at Microsoft in Redmond, Washington and Shanghai, China, where lead interaction design for their news, mapping, search and mobile platform offerings. Greg holds dual Journalism and Advertising/PR degrees from the University of South Carolina-Columbia.

Jacqueline Alexis Thng

Jacqueline is a Partner of Prophet in Hong Kong. For over 20 years she has helped clients develop and implement profitable growth strategies across diverse industries both on a global and regional basis. Jacqueline’s expertise includes strategic branding, marketing and sales strategies, business model and product innovation, customer experience as well integrated marketing communications including digital. Prior to Prophet, she was Managing Director of Brand Union (WPP) and CEO of Lexis Branding where she grew the strategy and branding practice of both agencies. She also led Brand Union to win Brand Consultancy of the year. She is a prominent speaker at conferences and contributes regularly to regional media. Jacqueline was one of the top graduates on the Dean List of National University of Singapore with a Degree in Business Administration majoring in corporate finance, marketing and business policy.

Kulika Chomvong

Ex-CEO, Sugarlogix


Kulika is a co-founder and CEO at Sugarlogix, a biotech company recreating human breast milk sugars as functional ingredients for gut health solutions. She has a unique and diverse background in both science and business.

She received her Ph.D. in microbiology from UC Berkeley, where she studied yeast metabolic pathways. Her undergraduate training in chemical engineering and at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania has given her insight into the business and industrial biotech domains. David Jou



David Jou is co-founder and CEO of Pomelo, the leading online fast fashion brand in Southeast Asia.  David previously co-founded Lazada where he served as Managing Director. WIlliam Bao Bean

General Partner, SOSV


William is a General Partner at SOSV, a US$300M AUM accelerator-focused venture capital fund, and the Managing Director of Chinaccelerator, East Asia’s first startup accelerator. Previously, William was the Managing Director of China investments at SingTel Innov8 Ventures and a Partner at Softbank China & India Holdings. William is also an active angel investor, with 39 investments between 2006 and 2014 when he joined SOSV.

Nico started OMNIVR, one of Indonesia’s first Virtual Reality focused company because he was astonished by the way VR is changing human and digital content interaction. In 2016 he started the monthly Jakarta XR Meetup, a meetup for everyone interested in VR, AR, MR, and other supporting technologies and successfully ran it for 15 times until recently.

Yansen Kamto is the Chief Executive of KIBAR, a tech-startup ecosystem builder in Indonesia,

Yansen is a Chinese-Indonesian who was born in Pontianak, 3 August 1981. Inspired by his
mother’s hard-working ethic in building a small restaurant in his hometown, he started his

Dr. Mullika is a lecturer at Suranaree University of Technology (Thailand) and an InfoDev’s certified trainer to deliver an incubator manager training program. As a lecturer, she teaches courses related to entrepreneurship and human resource development.  Dr. Mullika has several years of experience in training and consulting in area of entrepreneurship development, leadership development, team building, human relation in the workplace, strategic planning, and managing business growth.  She also has 6 years’ experience as incubator manager at Suranaree University of Technology Business Incubator (SUTBI), IP Management Office, and Science Park. As a manager of SUTBI, she is responsible for planning, managing day to day operation, fund raising, and coaching the clients.

Dr. Mullika had developed and delivered a very successful training program aimed at developing innovative capability of the woman entrepreneurs in The People Republic of Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, the Caribbean, and Nepal. Currently, Dr. Mullika is the program coordinator for a very innovative master program, Master of Management in Innopreneurship and Business Design which was developed with the government support. She also founded and currently manage the flagship project, the Student Entrepreneurship Development Academy (SEDA), to promote and support the development of entrepreneurship within the university.  Her entrepreneurship development model has been transferred and adopted by many universities in Thailand.  Dr. Mullika has a Ph.D. in Human Resource Development from University of Minnesota (USA.), and MBA. In Human Resource Management.

Aukrit Unahalekhaka

Co-Founder and CEO, Ricult


Aukrit Unahalekhaka is the co-founder and CEO (Thailand) of Ricult, a venture-backed social enterprise that leverages machine learning and satellite imagery to help farmers in Thailand and Pakistan increase farm productivity and access affordable loan, helping lift them out of poverty. Ricult has been named the best Social Enterprise in Southeast Asia and Oceania in the Global Social Venture Competition, won the Fintech Disrupt Challenge organized by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and awarded Innovative Agribusiness by United Nations Industrial Developmental Organization. From his work at Ricult, Aukrit was named as one of Thailand Top Entrepreneurs Under 35 by the Royal Thai Government and one of ASEAN-Australia Top Social Entrepreneurs Under 35 by the Australian Government. Aukrit received a joint master’s degree in engineering and management from MIT where he was a fellow at the MIT Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship. Prior to MIT, he was a consultant at Accenture in the Boston office and a software engineer at Cisco in Silicon Valley.

Boonrat Lohwongwatana

Co-Founder, Meticuly


Dr. Boonrat is a professor of metallurgical engineering at Chulalongkorn University. He has received numerous awards including both Thailand Young Metallurgist award and Thailand Young Technologist award from Princess Mahachakkri Sirindhorn, as well as applied research awards such as Research Award, and Innovation Award from the Santa Fe Symposium for jewelry manufacturing technology and Research Commercialization award. He has pioneered the 3D printing of biomedical titanium for orthopedic and neuro-plastic applications with fully customized design. The commercialization of research gave birth to Meticuly, a spin-off company that focuses on the platform to create on-demand devices for leading medical professors from medical schools in Thailand. Products that are currently in clinical trial stage include fully anatomical orthopedic devices that restore full range of motions and expedite recovery. The drop-in solution allow for minimally-invasive incision and short surgical theater time. Meticuly recently received the following awards: First Place of the Digital Venture Accelerator batch 1, and First Place at the 5th Seedstars Global Summit’s pitch corner.

Hassadee Pimsuwan

Founder, Treebuild


Hassadee Pimsuwan is a founder and software developer working at a 3D printing and Web3D development company, Treebuild. He began his programming career during first year in his undergrad by develop software to convert text parameters to generate 3D graphics on the web. Web3D Campus Visualization and established his first web development agency with his friends on his second year, later he moved to Munich to work with  Web3D company there and then moved back to create the Thailand first AR/VR-commerce website that works natively without plug-in by using X3DOM in his 4th year, and received the Best Poster award from Web3D Conference 2012 in Los Angeles with that project. After he graduated, he got hired by software development agency company in Singapore and he worked there for 1 year before moved back to Thailand and started Treebuild company in 2014.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Suranaree University of Technology with first-class honors in 2012 and currently pursuing his Master degree in Innopreneurship and Business Design. He is expected to receive his Master degree in 2018.

He has contributed to Mozilla projects since he was in second year of his undergrad in Thimble and Localization projects and now for A-frame by training and building community in Thailand especially in universities. Additionally, he has contributed to PrestaShop, an open-source e-commerce platform, X3DOM, an open-source framework and runtime for 3D graphics on the web, and OpenJSCAD, a tool for programmer to develop 3D model. His goal is to reduce the social gap and making knowledge more accessible for people and societies.

Karena Belin

Co-Founder, WHub


Karena, Co-Founder of WHub, member of the FinTech Association of Hong Kong (FTAHK), is a pillar of the Hong Kong Startup scene and passionate about technology, entrepreneurship and fostering the ecosystem. She is active as speaker, mentor and judge at international events and acceleration programs (WebSummit, RISE, Tech Open Air, Chicago Booth GNVC, Google EYE, Techstars, global Merlin YPO program and others). In Asia for over 13 years, she had worked previously 15 years for Procter&Gamble in various roles throughout Finance, Sales, Strategy and Management across Europe, North East Asia and Greater China. She holds a double-diploma in business and administration from the University of Mannheim and the MBA business school ESSEC in Paris,  volunteers as President on the board of the Parent Faculty Organisation (PFO) of the Hong Kong International School (HKIS) and is involved in driving diversity through the WoW committee of AWA.

Bobby Liu

Founder, Hub.IT


Bobby Liu is a global citizen, having lived and worked in 5 different countries. A keen learner, he appreciates the differences in cultural background of people and what make them tick.

Ideas abound, he started a coworking space/incubator called Hub.IT, a space that provides to young entrepreneurs a conducive environment to innovate and share collective experiences, and in the process contributing to building a great entrepreneurial ecosystem in Hanoi and Vietnam. Hub.IT was acquired by Topica end of 2015, where he’s now the Senior Director of Topica Edtech Group and co-director of the Topica Founder Institute.  

Bobby Liu is also a current and active mentor of the Google Developer Launchpad Accelerator and is also advising on numerous startups in Southeast Asia.

He is very active in the startup community, volunteering his time to mentoring startups and helping them achieve their goals. One of the initiatives he pioneered is an umbrella platform called Techfest‍‍‍‍‍‍.
